According to incident logs, Los Angeles Fire Department unit 97 was reported on the Roscoe off-ramp at about 5:16 p.m. Around 5:28 p.m., officials discussed whether the Roscoe off-ramp needed to be shut down, but a responding unit reported that closing the ramp was not necessary. By 5:49 p.m., authorities notified the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, which was assigned case number 2026-14137 and given an estimated arrival time of one hour.
